Celebrate World Baking Day with Collagen Powder

World Baking Day

World Baking Day is now an annual event celebrating the joy of baking. This year it falls on Sunday 21st May. Originally founded in 2012 by the baking brand Stork, they created it as a way to encourage people to get creative in the kitchen and share their love of baked goods with others.

On World Baking Day, people bake sweet or savory treats, share recipes, and organise events to celebrate the joy of baking. It's a day to enjoy the delicious results of baking and to connect with others who share a passion for this timeless culinary tradition.

Bakers, ready?

This World Baking Day, why not try something a little bit different?

How about adding collagen powder to your family's favourite desserts?

Chocolate, Collagen, and Chia Bakes

Collagen Chocolate Chia Brownies

These make a delicious and healthy mid-morning snack and are full of goodness. They’re great to bulk bake and store tucked away in a cake tin on the kitchen counter for elevensies but BONUS! They also include your daily collagen quota too. They’re easy to make and bound to impress guests popping around for coffee.

For the biscuit base

  • 2 scoops of Reverse Life collagen powder
  • 100g ground almonds

  • 10 Medjool dates
  • 60g coconut oil
  • 2 tbsp of cocoa powder
  • Some jam - we love this recipe with raspberry jam

For the topping

  • 200g of melted dark chocolate

You’ll need a fully lined baking tray or cake tin for this recipe

  • Place all your base ingredients (excluding your jam) into a blender and blitz your mix until it resembles fine crumbs
  • Press the mixture firmly into your lined tray and pop into a freezer to set for 10 mins
  • Once it’s set, spread a generous amount of your jam on top
  • For the topping, simply melt your dark chocolate, then pour over the top of your layer of jam
  • Pop into the fridge for at least an hour or until it’s fully set
  • Then slice into squares and serve with a cuppa!

  • Grab a separate bowl and mix together your melted butter or oil with your mashed banana and nut butter
  • Add in the dry ingredients and stir together to create your cookie mix
  • Take about 1 ½ tablespoons of the mixture, roll into a ball then slightly flatten to create your cookie shape
  • Repeat until your tray is full of cookies, then bake for around 10-minutes
